Fund Overview:

• Leveraging the combined 100+ years of team experiences in relevant markets and industry sectors, the Fund will have primary focuses on fintech; online marketplaces; enterprise B2B software; big-data analytics; blockchain and AI.

For each target investments:

• The Sapien team would have conducted extensive Due Diligence and proactive monitoring in the lead up to investment – typically over multiple months for each company
• In some cases, Sapien team members may have also provided extensive coaching or advice to the target company pre-investment, in order to get them to venture investment ready (in some cases this has taken place for 6-12 months prior to investment).
• Active and suitably-experienced Board and Advisory Board representations
• Negotiating typically as the lead investor – with ability to set terms and valuation

Eligible companies must demonstrate:

• Highly scalable business models
• Massive addressable markets – operates in a market sector we have validated as having massive demand
• Are revenue-generating, i.e. market-proven
• On an increasing growth trajectory
• Defendable IP or unique advantage
• Capital efficiency
•  Committed and experienced founding teams
• Coachable team, acceptable deal terms based on global norms & adapted for Australian market conditions
